Many people will tell you that when you are shopping for a wedding photographer, you should look for a full time photographer who works from a studio. I agree and if money is no object, go for the studio photographer. Prices start at about $1500 and up and you can expect to spend about twice the starting price before you are through. Of course, your photographs are not the place you want to get cheap. Once the cake is gone, the flowers have wilted and the dress is packed away, you have only your memories and your photographs. |

For those who are on a budget, freelance photographers are a good option. Most of us who freelance started out in a studio and for one reason or another we have moved on to other jobs. So even though I have several years experience as a "full time" photographer, I choose to freelance (and have for the last few years) so that I don't have the high over-head of a studio. I am then able to pass this savings on to you. |
So you want to know how much I'm going to save you. First let me tell you
that I don't believe in strict package deals where you have to buy things you
don't want, or those ala carte prices where you end up spending so much more
than you expected. Because you can't possibly know what you are going to want
before the wedding, I will give you some options which each have enough flexibility
to satisfy most any needs. |
